Girls
on the Run of Portland Metro is fortunate to have a diverse and dynamic team of leaders, advisors and coaches. Everyone involved in this organization is passionate about helping girls grow into strong, healthy and self-confident young women who can embrace their unique gifts and talents.

Nancy Fleck,
President, is the Production Manager at Carol Wilson Fine Arts. Nancy,
along with Nicole (below), have been the originators of Girls on the Run in
Portland. They have inspired a core group of approximately 10 people to come to
monthly planning meetings, research community needs and resources, evaluate
funding opportunities, interview girls about their interest in the program, and
build community support for Girls on the Run.

Nicole
Cossette, Treasurer, has a Masters in Business Administration as well as
several years of experience in human resources and financial management at Intel
Corporation. She has been taking courses in nonprofit management. Nicole
and Nancy brought Girls on the Run to Portland. Throughout the past year and a
half, they have
reached out to hook supporters with diverse talents, and have kept them engaged
through the long planning phase. -
Shelly Field, Vice President, has
a Masters in Public Administration and has worked with nonprofit and educational
institutions for over 15 years, including serving as Executive Director of a
youth leadership organization. She founded a Youth Volunteer Corps and has
served in leadership positions on several boards. Her daughter participated in
the Girls on the Run program in Chicago.

Kerry Rae Connolly, Secretary, is
a Senior Program Director for YMCA Columbia-Willamette with several years of
experience initiating and managing youth programs through community-school
partnerships. She is also a successful fundraiser who is knowledgeable about
corporate sponsorships.

Beth Madden is the
Seattle Operations Director for Madden Industries. She is a seasoned
business leader with expertise in business metrics to assess organizational
performance. Her experience will help us employ sound business principles as we
build our organization.

Katie Roth is a
Human Resources Specialist at Intel Corporation, one of the largest companies in
the Portland area. She has expertise in technical writing and communications.
She brings energy, enthusiasm, and deep commitments to community development.

Katie Skurski is a
Senior Financial Analyst at Nike. Katie started the first chapter of Girls on
the Run in the state of Tennessee (in Knoxville.) She brings program
administration and management experience, an MBA, a lot of determination, and a
strong appreciation for
the benefits of the program.
